The Diet Doc Review/Giveaway

I have been looking for ways to get and stay in shape. I mean, we all fall victim to those pesky pounds put on during the Holiday's but who in the world has the will power to just say no to all that good, yummy food? I sure don't. Well, after much searching I found the solution to my problem. Not only is it going to help me lose those holiday pounds but I really think this is going to change my complete way of eating and help to change my not so healthy eating habits into very healthy ones. I know, I know who wants to give up good food? Well, of course I don't and with the Diet Doc HCG Diet, I don't have to. Now, I know your asking "What Is HCG?" (Click on the link for all the details) This is a complete lifestyle makeover. This will change the way you eat, what you eat and the way you live. It doesn't matter if you just want to lose the occasional 10 lbs or If you need to lose 300 lbs...The HCG Diet  plan is for everyone. Here is some info from the site:

hCG Diet Plan

What is the hCG Diet? The hCG Diet was the creation of Dr. A.T.W. Simeons in 1954: the hCG hormone was given in a low dose, along with patients' consuming 500 calories per day to achieve rapid weight loss, reported at 1 pound per day.*
hCG injections are the preferred method of using hCG. Diet Doc also offers hCG in tablet form, which is sublingual(under the tongue). Anything taken orally (swallowed) is not as effective since the stomach acids burn the delicate hCG molecule.*
Many people ask if there is an increased chance of getting pregnant while using hCG. The answer is that the dose is considered a “micro dose” and is too low to act as a fertility drug (hCG is approved ny the FDA for fertility treatments).*
Most companies offering hCG drops, sublingual hCG or the 1954 version of the Simeons “Pounds and Inches” protocol are using an unsafe weight loss program as people eat a mere 500 calories per day. This is where hCG diet dangers come into play. It’s not the hCG, but it’s the 500 calories (starvation diet) that make any diet like that unsafe. The reason is people who eat so few calories run the risk of cardiac problems, hair loss, extreme fatigue and hunger.*
Diet Doc Weight Loss is the only modern-day version of the hCG Weight Loss Diet. The doctors at Diet Doc updated the original hCG protocol; our protocol has dieters consume no fewer than 800 calories per day and also use/consume diet foods, weight loss shakes and weight loss oil specifically created for the hCG Diets.*
Diet Doc offers the following

Now, I had the chance to try out some of the Pre-packaged weight loss food.  Diet Doc and food specialist created compatible, pre-packaged ( no refrigeration required) food specific to the HCG Diet. The main objective in with creating this line was for the dieter to feel as though they were eating "diet food" They also wanted the dieters to be able to feed their entire family with these entrees if they so choose and for the family to enjoy as if it wasn't "diet food'.The entrees are free from anything artificial, they do not contain sugar or artificial sweetners. Everything is natural and compatible for the diet.
Add protein and you are ready to eat.  A meal for a family of 4 takes 10 mns. to prepare!

There are many yummy options but I decided to go with the Hot and Sour Soup mix, Steak Soup and Thai style chicken soup. This is the way they came packaged:

They are simple soup mixes, you just add the meat to them. Some of them give you different options of meat that can be added. Like chicken, shrimp, tofu etc...  Each of them come with easy to follow instructions also.

The first one up is the THAI Style Chicken soup. As you can see it comes with the easy-to-follow insructions and is ery easy to make. I must admit, I was a little afraid that I might not like this because it is considered " diet food"  However, I was soooo wrong about that. There is nothing about this that taste like diet food. It smelled so fabulous cooking also. My son even liked this one and he doesn't like anything!! It was very wasy to make. I took  1/2 lb boneless skinless chicken breast, cooked it and cut it lnto little pieces, then I just added 1 cup of low sodium chicken broth and the seasoning mix. I brought it to a boil then lowered the heat and let it simmer for about 10-15 min. Then I stirred in 1/4 cup of coconut milk ( I found at my local market) tuned the heat of....mixed it well and served it....It was delicious!! I really enjoyed this and it super easy to cook. This would be something very easy and simple to cook when you got home from work and there was plenty left for lunch the next day. You could even cook this up and split it up into 4 equal servings and freeze. This I think would be really good over some rice or noodles too!!

Ok...The next one I tried was:

This one was my least favorite although it was still pretty good but I really liked the other two the best. However, this was my dads favorite...go figure... This is the Hot and Sour Soup Mix. Again, It comes with very easy to follow instructions. With this I used 1/2 cup boneless skinless chicken breast cooked and cubed  (  vegetarian variation substitute 1/2 cup cubed extra-firm tofu for chicken.) then I used a can of low sodium chicken broth, 1 Tsp soy sauce, 1 Tbsp apple cider vinegar, season mix and 1 chopped green onion. after bringing to a boil, I turned the heat down and let simmer for 10-15 minutes. While still simmering I added 1 egg white then turned off heat, mixed it well and it was ready to eat. It had a very yummy scent while cooking and it was good but not my favorite.
The last one I tried happened to be my favorite!!

Yes, I have always been a potatoe and steak kind of girl so the steak soup was my favorite!! It was soooo good I didn't want to share this one but of course I did. My dad and my son really, really enjoyed this one too!! For this one I cooked and drained a half pound of ground round then set it to the side. I added 1.5 cups of low sodium beef broth, seasoning mix and broccoli to the pot. ( you can use any kind of low glycemic vegetables like legumes, asparagus etc...)  and brought it all to a boil and then turned the heat down and let simmer for 10-15 mins. Then I added the meat and let it cook for an additional 5 minutes. ( You can make this like a stew....You just cut the beef broth by half and add more veggies, but watch for sticking during simmering) This was awesome and my favorite!!
All of these were super easy to fix and were very good. The family even liked them so it was a win-win for me!! I could easily turn this into a ifestyle and beside the soup mixe (which there are many more flavors beside the ones that I received.) they also have sloppy joe mix (Yummy) gumbos, chili, weight loss bars, cooking/salad dressing (MTC) Oil, supplements, shakes and everything in between. This HCG Diet Plan is designed to be a total lifestyle change, a new way living. They have plans to fit every body type and budget!!
