Josie Maran Argan Oil - (their oil to go size listed on site) - Value- $14

I have used several "Sexy Hair" products in the past and loved them all but this is the first time I tried anything from the "Big" Sexy hair line and I love it! This volumizing hairspray works very well without weighing my hair down, which is very important to me because I have very fine hair so I have to be very careful of the products I use. They have about 10 or so different products available in the Big Sexy Hair line which I am now dying to try out! I will let you know how well they work once I try them. I love, love, love Josie Maran Cosmetics but had never tried the argan oil from this line before, I love it! Most of you already know my secret beauty weapon is definitely Argan Oil. I have spoke about this a lot on my blog. It is an all-in-one product, it can be used for a moisturizer, bath oil, cuticle oil, and hair oil. I use it on my hair everyday, works perfectly to keep the fly-away's at bay as well as it's excellent for frizz control! Because a little goes a long way, this bottle will last a long time and is the perfect size for travel and/or for my handbag!

Nailtini Nail Lacquer in Bloody Mary- Full Size! Value- $13

Ipsy introduced me to Nailtini in a previous bag and I quickly fell in love with the brand. The first color they introduced me to was Millionaire from their limited edition collection, which is a rose gold micro glitter with teal and gold tinsels. It was like no color I had or had seen for that matter and I loved it! (the pics do not do them justice at all) This time they gave me a classic red which I love and think every woman needs, along with her little black dress and heels! They also have eyetini and liptini and I am dying to try products from both!

Soho London Crease Brush- Value- $8.99

I love that they included a makeup brush, most boxes do not include nice tools like this that is needed to achieve a flawless look. I really like this brush too. The quality of Soho products are awesome and this brush is very affordable, we all know how expensive these brushes can be. I believe it is very important to have a nice set of makeup brushes but they do not have to cost you an arm and a leg! This brand is perfect for any fashionista's budget and use. I received the crease brush which is perfect for applying eye shadow to the crease of your eye as well as blending multiple shades of eye shadow together. The bristles are very soft and fluffy and tapered to a slight point.

This is the makeup bag the products came in this month. I really like the shape of this one and the color. It's navy blue on the outside and the inside is blue with white stars. I thought I would get tired real fast getting a makeup bag every month but I think Ipsy does a really good job at mixing them up every month.Different colors, patterns, shapes, sizes, fabrics...I really enjoy them and have found uses for them all. They are really handy fashionable for organizing all types of things, not just makeup! Another thing, I figured that the makeup bags would be really cheap looking and poor quality but that's not at all the case. I have been very surprised. I never include a value for the makeup bag when I am figuring what everything is worth but I think it would be a totally fair price to add $5 to the value of the Ipsy box every month.

Verdict: I paid $10 and received $48.99 worth of products ($53.99 including the makeup bag) all of which I will use and really like! I think Ipsy is probably one of the best out there for value vs cost. I have always received at least 1 full size item and the rest "true" deluxe size. They include items that are very desirable and colors that are on-trend. I have loved all the products I have received in my Ipsy bags so far and they always leave me crazy to see whats next! I also think Ipsy truly listens to their customers and really try's to provide the type, size, and brands we want. They welcome your feedback and do not ignore or try to make you feel like an idiot if you have a complaint, however that is very rare. I think they always have a really good mix of products ....I really can't say anything negative at all about Ipsy, I love it and I have said it before and will say it again...If I could only keep one of my monthly subs it would definitely be this one ( Lip Factory is way up there with Ipsy also...I would have to figure out a way to keep both..lol)

What do you guys think about the Jan. Ipsy bag? Which product is your favorite? Are you going to sign up? Let me know what you think!

  1. I love Ipsy. The quality of their bags has been very consistent. Like you, I thought I'd get tired of the new bag every month but when I had to take a trip in December, I sure was glad to have so many bags to pack different toiletries in for me and the kids. I'm very excited about the red Nailtini--I love red polishes--and hope they'll consider letting us try one of their lip products sometime. Perhaps a red to go with our polish? :-)
